The Franco-Cameroonian Cédric Doumbé retained his world championship belt of Glory, the premier class in kickboxing on Saturday at the AccorHotels Arena in Paris, after five rounds against the Dutchman Nieky Holzken.
Arriving dancing in the ring, “Doumbé” wearing shorts with the inscription “EndOfNieky2” in reference to his first victory against the Dutchman last December, he had beaten him after a reign of six years for the welterweight kick boxing championship.
The fighter of 24, fired at Levallois SC, won the points without unanimous decision after a fight that led to his pace almost until the last moment, when his opponent failed to surprise him with a sequence of shots.
