The Canal + Group, distributor of Formula 1 since 2013, announced that the Monaco Grand Prix on May 28th, will be broadcast unencrypted on the C8 chain. This is the first time since 2012 that a Formula 1 Grand Prix will be broadcast in the clear.
Formula 1 will make his (brief) return on all screens on the 28th May, for the always highly anticipated Monaco Grand Prix. Canal +, distributor of the sport since 2013, and has extended its distribution contract until 2020, announced that C8, the “little sister” channel of the group on TNT will broadcast the race in the clear (unencryted).
With this announcement, Canal + confirms its willingness to co-circulate in clear on its secondary channel major sporting events whose distribution belongs to the encrypted channel. On the 3rd June, C8 will also broadcast the final of the Champions League.
