TRADE: A security cordon, for pedestrians, will be drawn around the Town Centre …
It is the meeting place for bargains. The traditional Grande Braderie of Nantes is back Friday and Saturday in the city center of Nantes. This trade event allows professionals to exhaust their reserves and customers to achieve savings through the many items offered at bargain prices. Textiles constitute the bulk of the products on sale.
As usual, the clearance sale begins Friday in the shops in the city centre. On Saturday, however, the 800 traders participating in the operation will be unpacking items directly on the street. Thousands of visitors are expected on the sidewalks.
“Very complementary sales”
“It’s a long-awaited moment because it allows traders to dump stocks until the new collections, explains Nathalie Deniau-Millon, president of the Association Plein centre. It’s very complementary to the winter and summer sales. More and more stores are participating, such as Galeries Lafayette this year. ”
On Saturday, a security perimeter for pedestrians and monitored by the security forces will be established around the streets dedicated to the sell-off in the centre of Nantes.
Given the influx, motorists will be exceptionally allowed that day to park on the course Saint-André, next to the cathedral, from 8 am to 9pm. Parking, however, will not be given since the town was registered in the red zone (2.30 euros per hour).
