The departmental operational center for fire and rescue has just delivered an update on interventions by firefighters about storm Kurt that is currently shaking the Vendée. A second winter storm comes to our shores in the night from Friday to Saturday.

From midday, the fire brigade of the Vendée are facing many emergency requests for tree falls and materials, public roads and clearances of various consecutive operations to protect the passage of the announced winter storm.
At 4.30pm, 120 interventions were carried out, 14 are ongoing. There is more appeal to firefighters about the storm. Among these interventions, there was a tree falling on a car near Clouzeau. Checks made, it was the fall of a large branch, which has simply damaged the car.
10 people trapped in Gois
At the height of the event, 105 firefighters from 31 rescue centers out of the 75 that make up the department had committed on the territory.
8 vehicles and 10 people trapped on the Gois passage were identified with the help of victim-pompiers. No fire was reported.

The Orange warning on Friday, will be a yellow level between 4 am and 6 am tomorrow, then orange level between 6 am to 10 am and yellow level between 10 am and 12 pm. The departmental operational center for fire and rescue is prepared to deal with the event.
