A migrant who is in his twenties and an Ethiopian national died after hitting a truck on the outskirts of Calais, according to the prefecture of Pas-de-Calais.
“On Saturday around 8 am, a migrant died after being hit by a lorry on the A16 in the direction Calais-Dunkirk”, told AFP a spokesman for the prefecture of Pas-de-Calais, confirming information of the publication La Voix du Nord. This is the first migrant deaths since the dismantling of the “Jungle” in Calais, a huge camp where there were thousands of people in the hope of reaching England.
