The gendarmerie of Ille-et-Vilaine will multiply controls throughout the long weekend of Easter.
There will be people on the roads for Easter weekend. In the West, Bison Fute, the road warning system is placing an orange warning on Friday between 4pm and 7pm, and Saturday , so people departing for the weekend are likely to get delays. on Monday, a red warning is announced between 4pm and 8pm, as people return.
Day and night the gendarmes of Ille-et-Vilaine plan to increase road checks. They will target impaired driving, excess speed and serious misconduct behaviour. There will be an increase of Day time and night time patrols, on the major roads and small roads.
The number of fatalities on the rise
Since the beginning of the year, the number of accidents and fatalities on the roads of Ille-et-Vilaine has seen a slight increase compared to 2015 (+ 2.6% in the number of accidents. 16.6% of fatalities).
