This is the first fatality of the year. It took place on Friday afternoon in Cossé-le-Vivien.
Friday afternoon, an accident between a car and a truck occurred on the D771, at Cossé-le-Vivien, on the edge of the town of La Chapelle-Craonnaise.
The driver of the car, a young man aged 20, died. The truck driver was taken to hospital in Laval, in shock.
Traffic was cut off to traffic between Craon and Cossé-le-Vivien whilst firefighters from Craon, Craon Gendarmes and Château-Gontier were on the scene to assess the accident.
