Since the publication in a weekly newspaper of an article announcing the sale of building plots at 1 € per square metre, the mayor of Conflans-sur-Anille (Sarthe) received daily phone calls, and three of five courses were booked in writing. “Tonight is a very young couple who came: he is salesman and travels a lot. She works as a hairdresser at home, says Jean-Marc Lambert, the mayor. Yesterday, we received a young couple of Loir-et-Cher, one of whom works in Eure-et-Loir.
