The Secretary of State for Transport confirmed that “the government will not begin work until the judgment of appeal”, the date of which is unknown.
It is not yet known when the hearing will take place on the environmental litigation related to the implementation of the proposed airport at Notre-Dame-des-Landes. But Secretary of State for Transport Alain Vidal confirmed yesterday, Thursday that ” the government will not begin work until the judgment on the appeal” on the environmental implications and the protected species. It is only this appeal that will block the project.
Alain Vidal only repeats the already known position of Francois Hollande on this. Manuel Valls, the Prime minister was hoping the work was scheduled to start this month, June 2015, but this now does not look feasible until the judgement on this appeal is reached.
