List of the bands for the Fete de la Musique in Chateaubriant
As promised in yesterdays post, I have got hold of the programme for the Fete de la Musique here in Chateaubriant this Friday 19th June, which starts at 8pm and carries through to the early hours.
As usual, there are going to be several stages set up throughout the town centre, with over 20 bands performing as well as Chorale concerts in the Jardin des Ramparts and inside the Church. A Flash Mob will be starting the proceedings off, followed by a Zumba demonstration on a stage behind the Hotel de Ville, and they will then be doing more zumba throughout the town centre throughout the evening.
Chateaubriant and Athlone celebrating 20 years of Music
The highlight of the evening will be the visiting band from Athlone in Ireland, who are making a special visit to celebrate 20 years of the the two towns being twinned. This should be a good show with traditional Irish music accompanied by some Irish Dancers as well.
If you decide to go, then I am sure you will not be disappointed, and if you do not live close, then have a look and see what Fete de la Musique events are taking part close to you, as this is normally the weekend when France celebrates music.
