London was again tonight the scene of a serious situation. A pickup truck crashed into several pedestrians on London Bridge. The police are on site, and indicated that it also came at close to a second incident at Borough Market, where people were stabbed.These acts are being called a terrorist attack in London by the authorities. At least six people were killed and twenty people were hospitalized. The security forces killed three attackers.
The perpetrators of the attack that killed six people in London wearing fake explosive belts, police said Sunday. “The suspects were wearing what looked like explosive jackets but that proved to be false”, according to a police spokesman. Three suspects were shot dead by police after killing six people by driving a van into the crowd on London Bridge and then stabbing passersby.
Around 11.15pm London police announced that a “major incident” had happened at London Bridge, without specifying the nature. A large police presence was then deployed locally.
According to the testimony of a woman interviewed by the BBC, a white van mounted onto the pavement and crashed into a group of pedestrians, mowing down five to six people.
Police said a second “incident” had led intervention in Borough Market, a market situated not far from London Bridge. Theresa May then spoke of possibly terrorist acts.
A third “incident” was announced to 00:45, in Vauxhall, but was ultimately irrelevant.
