Motorbike: Adrien Protat dies on the Bugatti circuit in Le Mans

Adrien Protat disputed the championship of France Supersport Pirelli Trophy.

After the tragic death of Anthony Delhalle on the Nogaro circuit on March 9th, the motorcycle world is again in mourning following the fatal accident this afternoon at Le Mans Adrien Protat (27 years) a rider evolved in the Supersport championship.

In the first round of the 2 nd race of the Pirelli Trophy France Supersport championship on the Bugatti circuit of Le Mans this Sunday afternoon, several riders crashed together.

In the first round, Adrien Protat, 27 years old, fell at the Dunlop bridge.

The rider was immediately taken in to the scene of the accident by the doctors of the medical service of the Automobile Club de l’Ouest. In serious condition, Adrien Protat was transferred to the circuit Medical Center where he died shortly after his arrival, as the result of his injuries.

The rider, licensed mechanical Pole TM Ales (Gard) and lives in Saint-Priest, was finished in 7 th place in race 1, won by Stéphane Frossard (Yamaha Seloncourt).

Following this tragic and fatal accident, the France championship Superbike organizers decided to cancel the remaining races.
