JACKPOT: Airbus unveiled Tuesday a firm contract of 300 aircraft passed with a low-cost Indian company
At the list price, the gigantic command “firm” unveiled on Tuesday by Airbus exceeds 33 billion dollars. The European aircraft manufacturer has just sold 300 aircraft at a time, the A320neo, to the Indian low-cost company IndiGo. A contract that he describes as “one of the biggest ever with a single airline”.

IndiGo, one of the fastest-growing companies in the world, with its new 730 A320neo fleets is taking over this order and becomes the world’s largest operator of this re-engineered single-aisle aircraft. Riyaz Peermohamed, the company’s sales manager, praises the device. “We are delighted to collaborate again with Airbus (…). The fuel-efficient aircraft will allow IndiGo to continue to focus on reducing operating costs and improving fuel efficiency with high-reliability standards, “he says.
This mega-order includes A320neo, A321neo and A321LR with a wider range of action. Airbus reports that by the end of September 2019, the A320neo, its new bestseller, had received “more than 6,650 firm orders” from 110 different customers.
