This Sunday 11th August, the ruins of Ranrouët Castle in Herbignac (Loire-Atlantique) will travel back in time to transport visitors to the Middle Ages.
The medieval festival is organized this Sunday 11th August 2019 in Herbignac (Loire-Atlantique) by the Cultural Animation and Leisure Herbignac (ACLH). It will be an opportunity for young and old to meet at the time of knights, lords and ladies.
Many free activities are on the program throughout the day, with various companies passionate about this time.
Games of skill, initiation to archery, ballads, ferret show, stick pottery demonstration, wood turner, pole stick, will attract attention. But also about twenty old crafts of the time and discovery of medieval military equipment will leave little respite to visitors.
Roman chariot race
Highlights will punctuate this day with a high-flying equestrian show of the troupe L’aventure au gallop, for fierce chivalrous tournaments and even a race of Roman tanks.
The public can also eat and drink. The ACLH will offer ham on the bone and the delicious medieval drink that is hypocras.
