A 15-year-old girl was killed Wednesday 7th August 2019, in the bay of La Baule / Le Pouliguen (Loire-Atlantique).
The accident occurred around 6.30pm, in the sector of the island of Evens, two kilometres from the coast.
The victim was in an inflatable pulled by a motorboat.
“Stuck in the propeller”
The Maritime Prefecture of the Atlantic indicates that it appears that the girl was “stuck in the propeller of the boat”.
A lifeboat “Côte d’Amour” of the SNSM went to the scene of the accident, with an emergency doctor on board.
The young woman was brought back to the port of Pornichet, around 6.50pm, and supported by the mobile service of emergency and resuscitation (Smur).
Her death was recorded at approximately 7:40 pm
