MALFUNCTION: The brand, Apple proposes to the concerned customers to replace the defective battery of their MacBook free of charge
Apple has launched a recall of some 15-inch MacBook Pro models for security reasons, reports BFMTV this Friday. The affected computers were marketed between September 2015 and February 2017.
In a statement released Thursday on its website, the brand apple explains that some of these units contain a battery “that may overheat and pose security problems.”

How to know if your laptop is concerned?
To check if your MacBook Pro is concerned, you must first check the model of the computer. To do this, go to the Apple menu at the top left of the screen. Check that your model is a 15-inch MacBook Pro Retina, dated mid-2015.
If this is the model, you must go to Apple’s website to verify your eligibility for the recall program. On the dedicated page, enter the serial number of your computer. If your MacBook Pro is eligible, follow the instructions and make an appointment at an Apple Retail Store or Authorized Service Center to have your battery replaced. The procedure is completely free.
Remember to back up your data
“In order to prepare your MacBook Pro for repair, please make a backup of your data,” advises Apple. The brand recommends stopping using the computer while waiting for the battery to be changed.
Finally, Apple also said that this program is only for the replacement of the battery, and you can not benefit under any circumstances from the complete replacement of your laptop.
