The All Blacks center, Sonny Bill Williams, will have to have a knee surgery. This injury is bad news for him in view of the Rugby World Cup in Japan.
It’s a blow to three-quarter center All Blacks Sonny Bill Williams (33). The Auckland Blues player, New Zealand’s Super Rugbyfranchise , suffered a knee injury on March 30th, 2019 against the Stormers and will have to have surgery . His club announced he would undergo arthroscopy Friday 12th April 12, 2019 and he should be unavailable for at least six weeks.

Already that he does not play much this season (two starts in five games played), this injury is bad news for the New Zealand center in the perspective of the Japanese World in September. Sonny Bill Williams, who is part of an initial list of 41 players convened by Steve Hansen to prepare for the upcoming season, can not be the rally scheduled for April 15 in Wellington.

No doubt that, despite this umpteenth injury and strong competition at his post (Ryan Crotty, Jack Goodhue, Ngani Laumape and Anton Lienert-Brown), Sonny Bill Williams will do everything possible to participate in its third World Cup with the All Blacks .
