On Wednesday 10th April, 2019, the TF1 Group announced that it will broadcast the entire 2019 World Cup in Japan, which will run from September 20th to November 2nd.
This is an announcement that will delight a large majority of French. The TF1 Group announced on Wednesday 10th April, 2019 that it broadcast exclusively all 48 meetings of the Rugby World Cup in Japan (September 20th – November 2nd).
The meetings will therefore be accessible in clear on the Group’s channels, namely TF1 but also TMC and TFX. The TF1 Group is pleased to be the first media to broadcast the competition in clear and in full.

In the past, TF1 broadcast posters of the World Cup, but retroceded part of the meetings to a pay channel, such as Canal + or Eurosport. To acquire the audiovisual rights of the 2019 World Cup, the TF1 Group has disbursed a sum approaching 45 million euros .
The majority of XV de France matches will take place in the morning, between 9am and 11am .
