FESTIVAL ESTIVALE: Another exclusive for the free open air summer festivals at Trélazé, with the Village People performing on the 24th August

A symbol of the 70s and a true icon of gay culture, this comic-looking boy band claims to have been invented “only for partying!” With over 100 million records sold, Village People is unquestionably one of the most popular disco groups of the 20th century.

By linking their planetary songs like “YMCA”, ” In The Navy” or “Macho Man “, Village People assures to bring joy and good mood to their audience.

It was in 1977 that the group was born, thanks to French producer Jacques Morali. The idea is to gather all the gay stereotypes of the time and parody them: the Indian, the policeman, the worker, the biker, the cowboy and the military.

The group became known a year later, thanks to the planetary song “YMCA”.

After some commercial failures, the group divides to pursue solo careers. Nostalgic for their glory years, the Village People group meets a few years ago, and the success is again at the rendezvous. The disco is far from dead, the international tour of Village People being the proof: hundreds of thousands of kilometres travelled each year, the group went back on stage to share the good mood of their biggest titles, both to their biggest fans, as to the new generations.

Note that the Village People concert at the Trélazé Festival Estival is the only date in France in 2018, an exclusivity!

There is no longer any excuse for not attending the Free open air concert on the 24th August, at 9 pm, at the Parc du Vissoir in Trélazé!
