Dutchman Max Verstappen (Red Bull) set the fastest time of the 3rd free practice session of the Mexican Grand Prix, 18th round of the Formula 1 World Championship, on Saturday at the Circuit des Freres Rodriguez (4.304 km) in Mexico City.
With a time of 1’17”113 “‘, Verstappen was ahead of the championship leader, the Briton Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes), 75″‘, and his rival for the title, the German Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari), 117 “‘. The three drivers broke the track record.

Frenchman Pierre Gasly (Toro Rosso) could not sign a timed lap because of an engine problem early in the session, which forced him to abandon his car at turn N.13. Because of this concern that requires him to use a seventh electric motor this season, the “rookie” will be penalized 15 places on the grid.
