RECORD: Cocaine, MDMA and especially cannabis were discovered in apartments located in the northern districts of Marseille
The Marseille police have just made a spectacular series of searches. Large quantities of cocaine, cannabis and MDMA were seized in “nurse” apartments in the northern districts of Marseille. This loot has a value of 2 million euros. Heavy weapons have also been discovered.
During these operations conducted between Wednesday and Monday, six people were arrested and referred to a judge, said the Departmental Directorate of Public Security (DDSP).
Long monitoring work
After a long work of spinning and surveillance started in September, the teams of the departmental security searched a flat of the 15th arrondissement, then a building of Campagne-Lévêque, a city in the area. During these “drawer” operations, they found more than 324 kg of cannabis, the equivalent of 1.5 million euros for resale.
Police also discovered 10 defensive grenades and an assault rifle in the first apartment. The day before, the investigators had already seized more than 12 kg of cannabis, 800 g of cocaine, two assault rifles, two shotguns and fifty ammunition. At the same time, the North Division teams seized cocaine and MDMA cannabis in the 13th and 14th arrondissements.

Sunday night, a 26-year-old man was shot in the street, “in what appears to be a settling of accounts,” said prosecutor Xavier Tarabeux.
