A total of four horses collided at around 4:00 pm, during the fourth race of the day, report the gendarmes of the company of Châteaubriant .
The accident, which occurred at a turning point, did not spare the jockeys, who collapsed on the ground.

If two of them recovered without difficulty, two others suffered several injuries. Among them, a 19-year-old man, who suffers from a broken jaw, and a young woman jockey, “more seriously affected”.

Aged 21, the young woman, who remained “a moment in cardiac arrest”, was finally resuscitated by the medical teams around 5.30pm before being flown by helicopter to the hospital of Nantes .
According to the gendarmes, her vital prognosis would be, to this day, “in a serious condition”.
