The mayor of Decazeville François Marty , used the decree of Tuesday 31st July, 2018 to ban petanque between 11 pm and 8 am in public places to “preserve the tranquility” of the inhabitants.
Exemptions in case of holidays
The official document states that “the activity of leisure by bowling causes repeated noise such as rattling balls , accompanied by the sound of voices, screams”.
However, exemptions could be granted in case of events, parties and other festivities.
