The Castle Fair

You are transported in August 1468, while the harvest festival is preparing in jubilation, Jean de Ferrière and Lieutenant General Estienne de Gramont decide to organize a fair in the lordship of Crèvecoeur. John II of Alençon and Count of Perche tries to oppose it … by all means.

The time of a day therefore take part in the life of the lordship, investigate and help the inhabitants to discover what is happening at the castle in the back of some.

Middle Age gastronomy




Throughout the summer, the castle of Crèvecoeur offers you to enjoy traditional medieval meals. You will find, in the feudal enclosure, a medieval tavern, open every day and all day. Slicers, pastés and toasted will be enjoyed. You may be surprised by the subtlety of flavors and associations of tastes, which will leave no one indifferent.

A medieval banquet on Saturday holds open table in the evening. A succession of five dishes services will travel your taste buds throughout a few centuries. You will spend the evening in the company of troubadours, storytellers and jugglers who will animate the meal.

In August, the castle is open daily from 11 am to 7 pm Rates: 8 € (p); € 5 (7-18 years old); free up to 7 years old. Price of the animations: 11 € (p); € 5 (7-14 years old); Free until 7 years old. Dish of the day at the tavern: 13 €. The medieval banquet will take place on Saturday, August 11th from 8:00 pm. It will cost you 34 € (per adult); 17 € (child from 6 to 12 years old), on reservation at 02 31 63 02 45.
