As expected for a few weeks, Le Havre has been officially designated as one of the nine host cities of the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2019.
It’s official, Le Havre will host the Women’s World Cup football in 2019! Together with its logo and slogan “time to shine”, the organization was formalized yesterday the names of the nine host cities, in Paris, as foreseen for several months, the city of Le Havre will be entitled to its share of encounters.
The nine stages chosen: Paris, Rennes, Lyon, Reims and Valenciennes, Grenoble, Montpellier, Nice and Le Havre will share the 52 meetings from June 7 to July 7, 2019. The semifinals and final will be held in Lyon, while the opening match, will be played at Parc des Princes (Paris).
This gives Le Havre two years ahead to prepare for hosting the first FIFA Women’s World Cup held in France.
