CYCLING: He won the second sprint of this Tour de France …
After boredom. After a step without the slightest interest for almost 200 kilometers Arnaud Démare won at Vittel in a bunch sprint. He beat Alexander Kristoff and Peter Sagan to win the fourth stage, whose departure started on Tuesday at noon from Mondorf-les-Bains.
The Belgian Guillaume van Keirsbulck had been the main (and only) rider to breakaway, cycling alone from the first kilometre. After nearly 4 hours alone at the front, the cyclist for the Wanty Gobert Group finally got caught by the peloton without much surprise.
It was his first win the Tour de France. The rider of the Sky, Geraint Thomas, still retains the yellow jersey after this stage.
