Briton Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) won for the fourth consecutive year the Grand Prix of Great Britain on Sunday at Silverstone, to return to a point of the German Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari), 7th in the World Championship.
The latter left the track after a mechanical problem and then suffered a puncture in the 50th and penultimate lap, now shows 177 points to his counter, against 176 for Hamilton. With five wins in his home race, the British, never worried in this race, tying the record of his compatriot Jim Clark and Alain Prost French.

Bottas back and connects
Finns Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes), recovered from the ninth position on the grid, and Kimi Räikkönen (Ferrari), a puncture in the 49th lap, complete the podium, 14 and 36 sec 5/10 respectively. Red Bull Dutchman Max Verstappen and Australian Daniel Ricciardo, reassembled it to the penultimate position at the start, finish at the bottom of the box, while the German Nico Hülkenberg (Renault) was sixth.

The French drivers Esteban Ocon (Force India) and Romain Grosjean (Haas) finished in 8th and 13th. Spaniard Fernando Alonso (McLaren-Honda) suffered another engine problem has again not finish the race for the seventh time in nine GP disputed in 2017.
