Two French finished on skiing in Kitzbühel downhill podium. Valentin Giraud Moine finished in second place, behind the Italian Dominik Paris and before another French, Johan Clarey was third.
The Frenchman Valentin Giraud Moine and Johan Clarey respectively won the 2nd and 3rd places of the Kitzbühel downhill skiing on Saturday behind Italian Dominik Paris, who won for the second time in his career on the famous Streif slope. Giraud Moine finished 21 / 100ths behind winner while Clarey finished in 33 / 100th of the Italian. This is the first time since 1998 that two French on the podium in the downhill in Kitzbühel: Nicolas Burtin finished second ahead of Jean-Luc Cretier.
Giraud Moine This gives the second podium of his career, just two days before celebrating his 25th birthday. Johan Clarey, meanwhile, is now at four career podium finishes. Dominik Paris himself has earned his first victory of the season but it was mounted on the podium in Val d’Isere in December in Super G (3rd). He sped down the Streif in 1 min 55 sec 1/100 second. The Italian Peter Fill, who won last year, failed this time off the podium, finishing fourth with 7/100 seconds behind Clarey.
