The two men 24 and 25 years old from Ruffec arrested on Sunday after trying to escape a police control in Condac were not actually the car drivers who fled failing to hit a soldier.
The driver of the Peugeot, a young man of 19 years, residing in Vienna, was arrested on Monday. He admitted that he panicked at the sight of control because he had been drinking and was in probationary license. Placed in custody, the young man, the clean record, unlike his two passengers, was released Monday.
He was summoned to court in December to answer for endangering the lives of others, voluntary violence with weapons against persons vested with public authority.
