The world of wingsuit is in mourning this Monday with the death of the Italian-Norwegian Alexander Polli. By late morning, the 31 year old man d crashed at Brevent in Chamonix. The High Mountain Gendarmerie Platoon (PGHM) was immediately warned by this group wingsuiters, as reported in the Dauphiné .

Despite the rescuers arriving to the scene quickly, shortly after 11 am, Alexander Polli could not be kept alive long enough due to the severity of his injuries. He was violently hit in the head and certainly suffering from severe internal bleeding after colliding with a tree at about 1,500 meters altitude.
