Laval: Bomb Disposal Team Arrive at Train Station

A second war bomb was discovered at Laval Railway Station during construction work

The bomb disposal operation is underway on Tuesday, March 29 at Laval Station. Bomb disposal unit arrived from Nantes just before 7 pm.

This is not a shell, but a bomb, an American bomb, which was discovered Tuesday during excavations in Laval Station. The bomb disposal unit, who came from Nantes, have now secured the scene.  The 150kg bomb was dropped during World War II, and has been identified as an American Bomb. It was discovered under the slab of the passenger building of the railway station at Laval, which is currently under construction.
