They have not been cancelled but postponed. The two concerts by the group U2 to be held at Bercy on the 14th and 15th November were reprogrammed for the 6th and 7th December, in the same hall in Paris, confirmed on Monday, by the promoter Live Nation.

The decision was taken after the attacks in Paris, on Friday, 13th November, not keep the original two shows that were sold out, but to delay them until a more appropiate time.  The day after the terrorist attacks, the group had gone to pray before the Bataclan.

“The killers (…) can not steal the spirit of Paris”

The tickets of 14th November will provide access to the concert on December 6th and those of November 15th will be valid for the December 7th, says the promoter in the release.  Ticket holders who wish can also be reimbursed and tickets will be relisted.

“The killers took away lives, stole the music, carried away the serenity, but they could not steal the spirit of this city. Our group knows this spirit and will try to serve it on our return, “said Bono, lead singer of U2, in a statement.

The concert on December 7, as originally planned will be filmed and broadcast the same day in the US on HBO.
