A national tribute chaired by François Hollande will be made Tuesday at 11 am at the Paris Police Prefecture to the policeman killed on Thursday night in the Champs Elysees attack , has said a spokesman on Saturday at the Elysee.
Xavier J., policeman 37 years old killed in the attack claimed by the jihadist group Daesh, was a member of the 32nd company management of public order and traffic (DOPC) of the Paris Police Prefecture.

Thursday at 9pm, Karim Cheurfi, 39, opened fire with automatic weapons on a police van parked on the Champs-Elysées, killing the policeman shot twice in the head.
Two other police officers were injured one seriously, a German tourist also being slightly more affected. Several police officers immediately fired back, killing the attacker. Following the attack, the head of state had already visited the Paris Police Prefecture to meet police and security forces. He had also visited the bedside of the seriously injured policeman at the European Hospital Georges Pompidou.
