Saturday, around 7pm, the body of a man was found near a road in La Guerche-de-Bretagne (Ille-et-Vilaine). The police continued their investigation at the scene Sunday morning.
It was on Saturday evening that a retired gentleman walking his dog who made the gruesome discovery at around 7pm.
A young man was lying near a tree-lined path, located near homes, at Vignouse street in La Guerche-de-Bretagne (Ille-et-Vilaine).
The victim, aged 31, who is an inhabitant of La Guerche-de-Bretagne, reportedly died of multiple stab wounds.
The excavated area thoroughly
The police left the scene on Saturday night and returned to the site on Sunday morning to continue with their investigations. The road and its surroundings were searched thoroughly.
Local residents were interviewed, their garbage and the surrounding gardens and gutters were inspected for the murder weapon and any other clues.
Many residents say they have heard nothing, late Saturday afternoon: neither shouts or noise reminiscent of a fight.
The attacker or attackers of the crime are being sought with any witnesses urged to come forward.
