While tributes multiply the day after the death of Jacques Chirac, Thursday, September 26, 2019, the honours of the entire nation are organized.
Government spokeswoman Sibeth Ndiaye announced on Friday that a minute of silence will be observed in public administrations and schools at 3 pm on Monday 30th September, declared a day of national mourning.

A solemn service will also be rendered that day at 12h in the Saint-Sulpice church in Paris.
Sunday People’s Ceremony
A popular ceremony, in the presence of the family, will be held Sunday at the Invalides, from 14 hours, to pay a final tribute to the former head of state, before he was buried in intimacy Monday.
In the meantime, people from all walks of life pay tribute to him in the books of condolences open at the Elysee and in the town halls of Paris.
