If your child goes to Lycee, it may be possible to get some financial help, called a Bourse, towards some of the cost . If you want to apply for a bourse for the 2015-2016 school year, then you need to get an application, normally available from the Lycee, completed and back to the Lycee before the 2nd June 2015.
The amount that you could receive if granted, can be between 135€ to 453€ per year. It can be used towards anything such as text books, or to renew school supplies and sports equipment. It can even be used towards the cost of an outside school event, such as a sports club etc.
There are several requirements as you can imagine, to qualify for the award. The child must be enrolled at a public or private lycee. They must be a student in either 2nde, 1ère, Terminale, or CAP. Family income must be below a certain threshold, between € 12,098 and € 48,393 per year, depending on a scale depending on the composition of the family.
