Salmonella: Rocket Salad Sold at Intermarché Recalled Throughout France

Rocket, being recalled at Intermarché due to Salmonella

This product of the rocket leaves from the organic brand Saint-Eloi, was sold between May 5th and May 16th, 2023, in all of the Intermarché supermarkets.

New alert for salmonella, the bacteria responsible for salmonellosisIn an alert sent this Monday, May 22, 2023, the official Rappel Conso website announces the recall of organic arugula sold at Intermarché, which could therefore cause a food infection. 

This is the Saint-Eloi brand sachet, 100 g, marketed in all stores of the brand between May 5 and 16, under the following references: 

  • Code-barre : 3250392615536
  • Batch: 43294874 032 XX:XX (all time codes)
  • Use-by date: May 15, 2023

Gastrointestinal disorders, fever, headache

In question: a probable presence of salmonella. According to Rappel Conso, “food poisoning caused (by these bacteria) results in gastrointestinal disorders (diarrhoea, vomiting) of sudden onset, often accompanied by fever and headaches which generally occur 6 to 72 hours after consumption of the contaminated products. 

“These symptoms may be more pronounced in young children, pregnant women, immunocompromised individuals and the elderly.”

Refund procedure

If you have consumed this product and you have these symptoms, consult your doctor as soon as possible. Seven days after consumption and with no symptoms, there is no need to worry. 

Intermarché has set up a refund procedure until Thursday 1st June 2023.
