ACCIDENT: The driver lost control of his quad, in the Tarn-et-Garonne, hitting a guard rail, killing the child
Friday at the end of the day a 40-year-old was riding quad with his 11-year-old son-in-law at the back, on the departmental road 820 which connects Caussade to Montauban in Tarn-et-Garonne. For some unknown reason, he lost control of his machine and hit the guardrail, reports France 3 Occitanie. The child was flown to Purpan Hospital in Toulouse but died there at night.
The father-in-law was seriously injured in the accident. The gendarmerie opened an investigation after this tragedy. Samples were taken from the driver and the quad was seized to try to understand what happened. We just know for the moment that the quad was homologated and the two passengers were wearing a helmet.
