PSG: Neymar Suspended for 3 Champions League Matches for “Insults” to the Referee

Neymar did not like PSG’s defeat against Manchester United in the Champions League, and had made it known, insulting the referee. He was suspended by UEFA.

The Brazilian crack the Paris SG , Neymar , was suspended for three matches of the Champions League for “insults” towards the referee of PSG Manchester United (1-3), announced Friday, April 26, 2019 UEFA.

A disciplinary procedure was opened on 22nd March by UEFA. The disciplinary committee of the body, which relies on Article 15.d of its disciplinary code, Friday imposed three games of suspension to the Brazilian striker, who can still appeal this decision.

In March 2015, Serge Aurier, then defender of PSG (today in Tottenham) was the first player sanctioned by the UEFA, of three matches of suspension, for remarks made on the social networks.

Long absent due to a foot injury, Neymar replayed 45 minutes Sunday and should play in the final of the Coupe de France Saturday against Rennes.
