A tragedy occurred on Sunday 12th August, 2018, on the RN88, near Montrozier (Aveyron) . At around 5pm, and with the first stormy rains in the orange alert for the department, a car and a motorhome collided on the road , leaving two dead and three wounded, reports The Dispatch of the South .
A woman dead on the spot
In the motorhome were two young people in their twenties, while a family of four was in the car. After the impact, the driver of the car, aged 47, had to be extracted before being transported to the hospital of Rodez (Aveyron) in absolute urgency. Despite the intervention of the relief workers, the 45-year-old woman who was at the side lost her life in the accident . The passenger of the camper, injured slightly, was also taken care of at the hospital of Rodez.
A little girl did not survive her injuries
Two children were also in the car, in the back, a 9-year-old boy and a 6-year-old girl . The first was evacuated, seriously wounded, to the hospital of Rodez, while the girl had been evacuated in urgency towards Toulouse. Unfortunately, she did not survive her injuries and died on Monday 13th August, 2018.
