The Annual Fete de la Musique returns to the steets of Chateaubriant this Friday …
The town of Chateaubriant will once again be full of music, this Friday the 17th June from 8pm, as this years Fete de la Musique once again takes place. This year, twenty bands and musicians will be performing during the evening on the various stages that have been constructed around the town centre.
New this Year – Chel and Bouskidou
The stage at the Rue du Château (at the castle stairs) is dedicated to youth groups.
- 8.30 pm to 9.30 pm – Chel
- 9.30 pm to 11 pm – Bouskidou
Chel and Bouskidou, are two youth groups, that will ignite the stage with the largest public enjoyment. Bouskidou, Nantes rock band for children created in 1981, offers resolutely modern songs for children and their parents, offering non-simplified music and biting texts. At their delivery to the site of Choisel in Chateaubriant in July 2013, the four musicians had a huge success with a large family audience. They invite you to come and watch, dance and sing and promise a super atmosphere.

Place de la Motte
From 8.30pm till midnight, the stage at Place de la Motte will feature musicians from the Scène de l’association Aubin d’Son/Arcel such as Wicked Fairy ( doom rock) and Tres Hombres (drunk rock) are emerging on the intermunicipal territory. With Purpulse, rock-fusion group present at the music festival for several years.
25 musicians and 5 groups in the Aubin d’son/Arcel Association have benefited since its creation late 2014 by the Community of Communes , with a recording studio and rehearsal dedicated to contemporary music and located in Saint-Aubin des Châteaux.
Sergent Pépère
In the second part of the evening, after students from the Intercommunal Conservatory finish their music slot from 8.30pm to 10.30pm, the Square in front of the Hotel de Ville will host the Sergent Pépère musicians From 10:30pm to 11:30pm. Created in 1998 with the desire to play music
on the street and in proximity to the public, the group will propose a new repertoire of original compositions and jazz improvisations which feed on the popular world music. Sergent Pépère will invite the audience to dance and offer musical accents of New Orleans, decorated with humour skits and dances.
