Florian Valéra is an ice skater and top athlete, and is in the Disney on Ice that will step in Rouen Zenith on the 28th and 29th November 2017.
The show Disney on Ice the imaginary journey arrives in France at the end of 2017 and will be presented at the Zenith of Rouen (Seine-Maritime) on 28 and 29 November 2017.
Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald and Daisy leave on a trip to explore the magical worlds of The Lion King , of the Little Mermaid to Peter Pan and Snow Queen . Among the many skaters occurring at each performance, only one is French. This is Florian Valéra. Interview.
A dream world
What does the world Disney to you and how did you get back in?
Florian Valéra: It’s a bit complicated to describe. Like many people, the world of Disney is a dream world. And work for the Disney company, it also falls within the dream. The first career goal I set myself was to be a professional skater. Then Disney contacted me and j ‘have integrated the troop there are three and a half years.
What role do you play in this tour?
I play the role of Peter Pan, an iconic character Disney World since 1953. I admit that it is a role that I wanted to interpret even before I proposed. Things are done as if by magic.
Which other character in the Disney world like you?
Surely Kristoff, a hero of the Snow Queen , simply because it is very popular and it is newer.
What cartoon has impressed you the most?
I’m always a fan of the Lion King . I grew up with and I still watch it. The Lion King is one of the paintings from the beginning of the show we will present in France.
Did you choose your characters or you being asked to play a specific role?
In the Company may turn to play several characters. Sometimes we may ask for ourselves, but it is the company most of the time, which proposes roles. These proposals are made based on our acting, our way of skating in the constant concern to the show value.
Daily training
At a time when we do this interview you are abroad. You keep travelling the world with the Disney company.
Yes, the show will be presented in France from 22 November 2017 to 31 January 2018, will then tour Europe and the United Arab Emirates. But be aware that there are nine other Disney shows running at the same time in the world.
How is the daily life of a skater Disney troop?
We spend the days the skates, there is a lot of training, a lot of repetition. We need to maintain our game and our level every day. It is very hard and very physical, like an Olympic athlete, but as part of a show. All skaters on the team have a national or international level.
