This Saturday, Yellow Vests gathered in several cities of France, including Paris and Rouen, on the occasion of Act 21
Five months after their birth, the “yellow vests” gathered in several cities of France, this Saturday 6th April, the Ministry of the Interior has estimated that there was 6300 protesters in France, with 3100 in Paris at 2pm.
For this act 21, a call to the national gathering was launched in Rouen and, in Paris , two events were planned – and declared in the prefecture.
One was declared by the road driver Eric Drouet. He was verbalised – without being arrested – near the Champs-Elysees for “participation in a prohibited demonstration,” according to a police source who did not give more details.
Prohibitions to protest on the Champs-Elysees, the Place de l’Etoile, as well as in a vast area including the Elysee and the National Assembly, were renewed by the police chief after the excesses of Saturday, March 16th.
“Calm “
Hundreds of people gathered in the Republic early afternoon, including Jerome Rodrigues, éborgné during a demonstration in late January in Paris.
“There are Saturdays, like today, we know that it will be quiet, because we are preparing for the big ones to come, for example May 1st,” said Jean-Claude, 25, from the Val -de-Marne.
“The black blocks? They saved me several times. They made it possible to slow down the police officers who were shooting at all costs, it gave me time to escape. I’m not going to say anything against them, I do not agree with everything that’s going on, but hey … “, he continues.
At 4.30pm, the Paris Police Prefecture recorded 28 arrests, 10,278 preventive checks and seven verbalisations in the forbidden perimeter.
