Prince William and Kate Middleton have announced through a press release, relayed on Instagram, they will be visiting the French capital on the 17th and 18th March. On the program, said the royal couple: a reception with young French directors from different backgrounds, a formal dinner at the ambassador of Great Britain to Paris, and the rugby Six Nations tournament between France and Wales on Saturday at the Stade de France.
Another appointment is added to the program: a reception at the Elysee. Announced by the BBC, it was confirmed by the French presidency at the Express. “It is normal that they are received by the President of the Republic, given the historical relationship between France and the UK” , said the Elysee .
This is the first time the couple goes for an official visit to the French capital. It is also the first time that Prince William will return to the city where his mother, Princess of Wales Diana, died in 1997.
