Since the discovery by passers-by of an empty canoe found on Sunday evening around 6.30pm on the river Dropt near Monsegur, a search has been mobilized to try to find the kayaker. It is thought that the young man of 28, is of British nationality, who used to frequent the river often.
Twenty firemen and gendarmes have conducted a search until 11pm last night, Sunday, helped by dog teams and divers who inspected the area. The search will continue this morning, Monday.
