The local Castelbriantais of the French Red Cross has opened a new space for babies and children under 36 months for families from the north of the department.
The French Red Cross in Châteaubriant has opened a new space for babies and parents, which has been designed to accommodate families and children younger than 36 months from the north of the Loire Atlantique department who encounter difficulties.
Its goal is to meet the basic needs of young children such as food, clothing, hygiene and safety, but also a balanced diet, targeting the prevention of nutritional deficiencies. The space offers specialized workshops to support parenting.
It is a space that will offer a place for exchange, support and meeting with other parents. In addition, it will be possible to meet and talk to professionals dedicated in the early childhood sector, for those who have problems.
This new building came about after close collaboration between the French Red Cross and the Conseil départemental de Loire-Atlantique. The centre is also looking for volunteers and donations, to help and assist the smooth running of the centre and to be offer the support necessary to young parents.
