Yesterday, Friday, the trains between Châteaubriant (44) and Rennes (35) was interrupted between 6.30 am and 10 am as a bull had escaped from a slaughterhouse.
A bull and a cow escaped escaped the slaughter house in Quentin Miglioretti Avenue, got onto the neighbouring railway tracks, crossing the town from South to the North. They thus blocked the train from Rennes, which was delayed by about an hour.
The gendarmes had to call a vet from Martigné-Ferchaud with hypodermic cartridges to calm the bull, a monster of 1.2 tonnes, who was obviously very upset.
The operation eventually ended at 10 am and the three trains to Rennes could then start to leave the station in Châteaubriant, lagging between 30 minutes and an hour.
