Today has been the local carnival for the village of Sion les Mines.
Both the local schools take part, and they parade around the village all dressed up, this years theme being famous people and film stars.
They are led around by the local Twirling group and Band, and followed by one of the parents with there tractor and trailer with a display on it.
After the parade, we all make our way inside the Salle de Briel, where refreshments are available for all.
I know that it’s quite a small low key affair, but just to see the children faces enjoyng themselves as they walk around proud of their costumes, makes what living here in a small village so worthwhile.
