Sunday, July 7, 2019, a child was struck by lightning in Vallauris, a town located about fifteen kilometres from Antibes (Alpes-Maritimes), reports France Bleu.
He was accompanied by his father when a bolt of lightning struck him.

Transported in serious condition
The storm was brief, and no other person was touched. Arriving on site, the firefighters discovered the unconscious child. He was immediately transported to the Lenval Hospital in Nice, in serious condition.
In shock, the victim’s parents were also taken care of.
