The storm Miguel made a victim in Paris: a man was badly injured by a street lamp fell after the fall of a tree, in the 19th district, in the evening of Friday, one learned from the firemen.
“Because of the storm, a tree fell on a street light from the Battle of Stalingrad, which fell on a man,” said firefighters. The man, whose vital prognosis was critical at the time of his taking charge, was transported to the hospital of Pitié Salpêtrière.
The storm has left other victims: three rescuers at sea died Friday off the Sables-d’Olonne (Vendée) after capsizing their boat, out to assist a fishing boat whose sailor is still missing.
